How to activate your Vumatel Fibre connection

Once your line has been installed, you are only one step away from enjoying pure Internet joy. Connect up your router and activation should happen automatically and you should have internet access within 2 hours.

If activation does not happen automatically you may need to do it manually.

How to manually activate your Vumatel Fibre line

1. Connect your hardware

Connect your Fibre-ready Wi-Fi router to the CPE using an ethernet cable.

Connect the ethernet cable from LAN1 on Vuma’s RAYCORE CPE device to the INTERNET port on the Afrihost-supplied router. If using your own Wi-Fi router, the port may be labelled WAN if not INTERNET.

2. Locate your Object / VT number

Once your physical connection is installed, your object number will be emailed to you. If you do not receive your object number it can be found in the Vumatel shop front. Navigate to shop.vumatel.co.za. Copy the object number.

3. Enter your Object / VT number in ClientZone

Once you have your Object / VT number, copy it and head over to ClientZone:

  • Log into ClientZone.
  • Click on the ‘Connectivity’ tab.
  • Select your Vumatel Fibre package.

  • Paste the Object / VT number in the ‘Object Number’ field.
  • Click on ‘Submit Object Number’ to confirm.

Give it at least an hour then you will be good to go.
