How to change your router Wi-Fi password

All our D-Link DIR 825 routers are preconfigured for your convenience and it should just be plug and play.

If you wish to change your wireless network (Wi-Fi) password, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the router’s main interface.
  2. Open your Internet browser and type:
  3. Enter the administrator password, then click ‘Connect’.
  4. Click ‘Wireless settings’ on the left-hand side.
  5. Select ‘Wireless Network Assistant’.
  6. Select to Manually change the network name.
  7. Enter your network name in the SSID network field.
  8. Select Manually Assign a Network Key password.
  9. Click ‘next’.
  10. Type the desired password for the Wi-Fi network in the space provided.
  11. Click ‘next’.
  12. This will take you to a summary page of your new Wi-Fi settings.
  13. Click ‘next’ to save settings.

How to create a strong password: It is important to create a strong and secure password. Use a minimum of 10 characters. Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers and use at least one special character (eg: =~_{} @^&>*) in the password. Do not include a username or your name in the password.
