How to do a SIM Swap for a legacy mobile SIM card
Legacy clients are clients who signed up for Afrihost Air Mobile pre-February 2024.
Sign-ups since February 2024 are on the new Afrihost AirMobile MVNO network. (Mobile Virtual Network Operator)
A SIM swap is a process where a mobile phone user requests a new SIM card from their service provider to replace their existing one after it has been lost, stolen or damaged.
You can only do a voice-data SIM Swap with Afrihost. For a data-only SIM Swap, please contact MTN directly.
- Go to ClientZone.
- Select the ‘Mobile’ tab.
- Select the mobile number that you want to do the SIM Swap on the right-hand side.
- Click the ‘SIM Swap’ button below.
- Select ‘Get a New SIM Card’.
- Complete the SIM Card details. Choose By Size, All SIM cards are breakable into the correct size, and click ‘Next Step’.
- Select a delivery method - Select an existing delivery address, add a new address or collect from Afrihost.
- Delivery confirmation will pop up. Select Deliver or Collect my SIM card.
You will receive a confirmation of your order via email.
After receiving the new SIM card, insert it into your phone and dial *555# to activate and complete the SIM swapping process.
