What you need to get Pure DSL
DSL services will be phased out in areas where fibre connectivity is available from 1 October 2021. Switch to Pure Fibre for an alternative internet solution.
- A copper telephone line with DSL enabled services.
If you have a copper phone line, you only need the DSL portion active to get Pure DSL. - A DSL modem or router.
If you don’t have a DSL modem, visit our Modems and Wi-Fi Routers page to see what devices we can offer you. - An Afrihost Pure DSL data package.
Choose a Pure DSL data package that suits you.
Do I have to keep my telephone line active to get Pure DSL?
If you have an existing copper line at your premises you can sign up for Pure DSL. You do not need to have the voice portion of the line active. Pure DSL is a new DSL service.
Can I get Pure DSL on a prepaid telephone line?
No, Pure DSL is not available on a prepaid line.
How long does it take to get Pure DSL?
After signing up, Openserve will contact you to install the DSL line at your premises. Openserve will install new DSL services at the premises within 14 working days.
Once the installation is done and completed, the line will be activated. You can then plug in your router and get connected to the internet.
