Fibre Cancellation Policy

Fibre | Cancellation / Termination.
- Cancellations are made as per the general terms, and will only be accepted from within ClientZone.
- Cancellation of any Fibre service is the Client's responsibility and all tools to effect such cancellation are provided in Client Interface. The Client is responsible for ensuring that such cancellation of service is actioned with due attention to terms of cancellation, as well as cancellation conditions which require the Client to specifically indicate a required process (for example whether a Fibre line rental Service should be moved back to the Last-mile Provider or cancelled entirely). Should the Client incorrectly complete the cancellation process, Afrihost will not be liable for any additional costs or compensation to the Client due to the error.
- In the event that the Client remains in default for Fibre Services by the last day of a Calendar Month, Afrihost may initiate termination procedures effective at the end of that month. Should it do so, the Client’s Service will be suspended pending termination of the Service. The Client will remain liable for all accrued Fees during the suspension period, including but not limited to any promotional cancellation Fees.
- One calendar month cancellation notice is required. Clients will have until 23:00 on the last day of the month to submit the cancellation. Should a client submit a cancellation after 23:00 on the last day of the month, the effective cancellation date will be in two months.
- Should you cancel your Pure Fibre less than 6 (six) months from activation, or your account falls into arrears, you will be charged a cancellation fee of R999.00 (nine hundred and ninety-nine Rand). This cancellation fee is NOT applicable to Vuma Reach.
- A Fibre line that is pending cancellation can be reactivated up until seven days before the effective cancellation date.
- If you receive a Fibre router from Afrihost and you cancel your pending order before installation is completed:
- You will have to return your router - undamaged and in its original packaging - within 14 (fourteen) days from cancellation.
- Afrihost's warehouse will assess the condition of the router before it can be deemed as in good condition.
- Should you not return the router within the specified time or if our warehouse does not deem the router condition to be satisfactory, you will be charged a fee of R999.00 (nine hundred and ninety-nine Rand).
- In the event that the client remains in default for Fibre services by the last day of the month, Afrihost shall initiate termination procedures effective at the end of said month. The client shall remain liable for all accrued fees and charges during any suspension period, including but not limited to any promotional cancellation fees.

General | Terms subject to change
- Afrihost may amend the General Terms, Service Terms and/or any Client policies at any time. The amended versions will be posted on the Client Interface, and Afrihost will make reasonable efforts to advise the Client of them by email and via the Client Interface. The Client also has a duty to keep itself informed of the latest version of the above documents by accessing the Client Interface on a regular basis.
- If the Client objects to any of the amendments, it may terminate the Agreement, and the termination will only become effective at the end of the usual notice period described in the termination clause.
General | Term and termination.
- Afrihost operates Month-to-month contracts. Either the Client or Afrihost may terminate the Agreement, or a particular Service, by giving 1 (one) Calendar Month’s notice to the other. For example if notice is given on the 15th (fifteenth) of January, termination will take effect on the 1st (first) of March. Particular Service Terms may allow for different notice periods as applicable.
- To cancel a service the Client must submit a termination request via the Afrihost Client Interface. It is the Client’s responsibility to initiate and complete the cancellation and all necessary tools are available within the interface. The Client must also ensure that the cancellation complies with any terms and conditions outlined during the process. Afrihost will not be held liable for any additional charges or losses resulting from an incorrectly completed cancellation request.
- Either party may terminate this Agreement and any Service provision where there is a breach of this Agreement by the other which has not been remedied within 7 (seven) days of receipt of written notice to do so.
- Afrihost reserves the right to terminate the agreement with a Client agreements based on a Client’s breach any part of this Agreement (which includes these General Terms, Service Terms, Acceptable Use Policy and Sanctions Policy) which is viewed as a breach of the whole Agreement.
- The Client acknowledges that Afrihost may terminate this Agreement by written notice, including email, and without liability to the Client in the event of the termination of its agreement with an upstream licensee or Service provider relevant to the provision of any connectivity Service.
- Afrihost reserves the right to deactivate or terminate selected free Services, such as Fax2Email, should they not be used within a prescribed period or at Afrihost's sole discretion. Such termination will take place automatically, as per Service specifications, and may occur without prior warning. Afrihost accepts no liability should such termination take place, and no warranty is made regarding the availability of said Services in the future. For example, should a Fax2Email be deleted if not used within 90 (ninety) days, Afrihost makes no warranty that the number can be made available again, and accepts no liability for any consequences resulting in the deletion of the Service. Afrihost reserves the right to terminate Services provided as free Services where a breach has occurred (such as non-payment) in relation to other Services, whether or not such breach by a Client has direct or indirect bearing on the free Service provision.
