How to setup email on Apple iPhone

How to create a new email account. 

If you would like to know How to create an email account on your domain, please read our Help Centre article for further assistance.

Follow the steps below to set up your domain emails address on your Apple iPhone mobile device:
Macbook email setup. 

If you would like to know how to setup your email in Apple mail, please read our Help Centre article.

  1. Open Settings on the iPhone mobile device.
  2. Scroll down, Select ‘Passwords and Accounts’.
  3. Select ‘Add Account’.
  4. Various email options will appear, select ‘Other’.
  5. Under Mail, select ‘Add Mail Account’.
  6. Enter your full name.
  7. Enter your email address.
  8. Enter the password for your email address.
  9. Select ‘Next’ at the top right to continue.
  10. Select the type of mail account you want, IMAP or POP. We suggest you use IMAP.
  11. Scroll down to enter the ‘Incoming mail server’ settings.
    Host Name - mail(dot)the domain name. eg:mail.yourdomainname.co.za
    Username - enter your email address and the
    Password - enter the password.
  12. Scroll down to enter the ‘Outgoing mail server’ settings.
    Host Name - mail(dot)the domain name. eg:mail.yourdomainname.co.za

    Username - enter your email address and the
    Password - enter the password.

  13. Select ‘Next’.
  14. Your account details will be verified, and blue ticks will display once verification is complete.
  15. Select ‘Save’.

You can now go to your mail application and your new mailbox has been added.

Server ports: 
  • IMAP uses port 993 with SSL secure encryption and port 143 for non SSL encryption.
  • POP uses port 995 with SSL secure encryption and port 110 for non SSL encryption.
  • SMTP uses port 465 with SSL secure encryption and port 587 or 25 for non SSL encryption.
